Alison Ogilvie is an educator with over thirty years experience. Having taught grades One through Nine and been a Primary/Junior and Transition years Consultant, she is now vice-principal in a large multi-cultural school in London, Ontario. Alison's belief is that, "all kids can learn - but not in the same way - and not on the same day!". This philosophy has led her to pilot innovative programs for students with attendance problems and those experiencing difficulties in literacy and numeracy. Alison is a veteran Professional Development presenter on many aspects of curriculum; her most popular workshops being those on Brain-based Learning, Effective Reading and Math Strategies for Adolescents, Curriculum Mapping and Subject Integration. Her workshops offer practical, classroom-tested strategies, hands-on participation, and dialogue on current educational issues.
